Freelance business owner; illustrations, ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, and merchandise to produce and sell online and at various art and Japanese pop-culture conventions across the United States. Commission-based illustrations, sewing, patterning, and fabric and sewing consultations.

2018-2019 Season

Boston Early Music Festival - Alcina, Orlando, Versailles

Stitcher, Crafts (Orlando); Assisted with machine and hand-sewn alterations and repairs on singer and dance costumes, re-painted and feathered foam armour and helmets.

Dresser, Wardrobe (Boston portions of Alcina and Versailles); Assisted singers with dressing and undressing in historical garments, did laundry and general clean up before and after each show, attended to hand and machine-sewn notes and alturings during tech and dress rehearsals, assisted with strike and pack for touring. 

Wigs/Hair and Makeup (Orlando, Touring portion of Versailles); Part of wig and makeup crew, performed hat and wig quick changes during Orlando show runs, helped to reset wigs between shows, did makeup on principal singers and wigs and hats for dancers and chorus

January 2016

Backstage (Costume Company) ・Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet

Wardrobe crew; worked as a part of the Japanese wardrobe team with Backstage for Vaganova's Tokyo performances. Assisted with doing laundry, dressing and quick changing ballet dancers, packing and moving costumes between venues, and quickly fixing any costume breakages.

Fall 2015

KABUKI for Everyone

Box office, front of house; Received tickets, handed out and collected pamphlets, guided foreign and Japanese patrons to seats.

 

Summer 2014

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company

First Hand; Worked heavily with stretch fabrics, assisted with creation of women's tailored garment. Mock-up preparation for fittings, and fabric pattern matching.
